In 1924, Dr. Saul Griffin died mysteriously on an archaeological dig after revealing to his nephew, Wyatt, that he possessed a trove of magical artifacts. Only a month later, the remains of the doctor’s colleague were unearthed in Ivy’s garden in Mississippi. Only a few months later, Ivy and Wyatt have left on their honeymoon in Santorini, leaving Ivy’s sister, Maggie, alone in Mississippi, to her woefully boring life. She dreams of someday becoming an independent female news reporter, but instead finds herself reluctantly wooed by the intensely handsome, Lewis Hart, a.k.a. Donk.

When the sleazy head of the Natchez Eugenics Society mysteriously dies, Maggie decides to kickstart her career and investigate. Soon, she finds herself in the midst of another dangerous battle with the Ku Klux Klan. But all this means nothing to the prophecy she has uncovered, one which will mysteriously lead her to the jungles of Cambodia in the arms of the possible murderer and orchestrator of the whole debacle: Donk.

This is the second book of the Hairy Jack Trilogy.
